One of the briefest mentions in Apple’s keynote was for an updated pair of AirPods Pro 2. The second-generation AirPods Pro 2 have been redesigned so that the charging case now takes a USB-C cable instead of Lightning cable, a move that brings it in line with the new iPhone 15 series. But if you thought that was the only difference, there’s much more, including a couple of features exclusive to the new model.2
He New Case still has MagSafe charging, but adds a convenient option to be charged directly from an iPhone 15 using a double-ended USB-C cable. This could be useful on-the-go as an alternative to needing a power-bank or laptop to top up the Airpods.
